We are NEXT Dance Co, a professional company in Connecticut designed to help dancers continue their passion. With a dedication to performance, love for artistry, and a commitment to professionalism, we help dancers discover what is NEXT in their careers, wherever they find themselves in life. 

How to be apart of what's NEXT

NEXT Dance Co invites technically trained Choreographers to audition their choreography for our upcoming Spring Performance on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Capitol Theater in Willimantic, CT. There is a $10 Audition Fee for all choreographers which you can pay online on our Audition Info page.

 

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Capitol Theater in Willimantic, CT. There is a $20 Audition Fee for all Dancers which you can pay online on our Audition Info page.

But first, you'll need to register to join our company! Our Registration Form can be found on our Registration page, where you can sign up and pay the $30 Registration Fee. Feel free to pay both of the Registration and Auditions fees online in advance whenever you feel, however your spot won't be held and you won't be completely registered unless you pay the Registration Fee.

After the Auditions and the members of NEXT have been decided, you can pay your Tuition for the session on the Tuition page. All dancers will pay a Tuition Fee of $250 per session, however if you're choreographing a piece your tuition will be discounted to $175

​

Kara Stanley is the Founder and Artistic Director of NEXT Dance Company, Connecticut’s premier performance-based company for advanced adult dancers. With more than 18 years as a studio owner, educator, and arts leader, she has shaped generations of dancers while building a respected legacy within the regional dance community. In 2025, she returned to the performance stage with a renewed artistic vision, creating NEXT as an innovative professional home where dedicated dancers continue to grow, collaborate, and perform at a high level beyond college.
